We run "lamb share" schemes every few months and typically supply in half and quarter lamb portions. If you are interested please let us know and we'll add your name to the list. We will then let you know what lambs are available and how they've been reared and you can decide if you would like to take part in that particular lamb share. We plan quite far in advance so there will normally be 2 months notice.
We supply two different kinds of lamb at varying times throughout the year, rare breed Norfolk Horn lamb and Black Welsh Mountain lamb. Both types of lamb come from flocks that are extensively reared where the lambs are allowed to reach their ideal weights in a natural environment in their own time. The rare breed Norfolk Horn lamb is fed on marshes and grassland and their unique meat is superbly tender and flavoursome. The Black Welsh Mountain lamb is grass fed and because of its extra hardiness spends all year outdoors. Although smaller than the average commercially bred lamb, it has a lovely succulent flavour that certainly makes up for the smaller size.
